Follow Your Heart

So much of what happens in life is based off of the decisions that we make from choices we are given. Sometimes they are easy - sometimes they are hard. The choices we make might change the color of the hair on our head, paint on our nails or even the color of our walls that surround us. Other times they will completely change our lives and the people we allow to be in them. However, either way it has an effect on us even in the slightest of ways. Making decisions are difficult, especially when feelings are involved. It can feel as if your heart and your head are at war with each other and you are sidelined from interfering causing your emotions to be scatterbrained. One lesson in life that you will learn on your own is that at the end of the day you need to do what makes YOU happy. Sometimes in order to do so you have to shut of your brain and listen to your heart and follow the way that it is leading you. Life is full of decisions but never forget that in making them they will always, always affect you.

Vegan Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

We're really excited to share with you this super delicious and easy recipe! Now, don't let the word "vegan" scare you away. This merely means that it's a healthier (and in our opinion tastier) version of a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. Wether you're a vegan or not, we think this recipe will rock your world!

What you'll need:

1/2 cup melted coconut oil
1/2 cup cacao powder (or regular cocoa powder)
1/2 peanut butter (or almond butter)
1/4 maple syrup (or honey)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Muffin/cupcake pan
Cupcake liners
Blender or mixing bowl

What you'll do:

1.) Mix all ingredients together in a blender or mixing bowl (consistency should be smooth)

2.) Once you have mixed all ingredients together, start scooping dollops of the mixture into the cupcake liners (this will act as a wrapper.) The amount you put into the cups will depend on how thick or thin you want them to be.

3.) Place cupcake pan in the freezer for about 30 minutes to let set and freeze.

4.) Now they are ready to eat!

*Since these are made with all natural ingredients, they won't keep fresh like Reese's do, and will melt, in your pantry. So we suggest keeping them in a plastic bag in the freezer to preserve all yumminess!*
